Submit to Nightingale

Send Us Your Soul (And Maybe a Manuscript)

Most publishers want you to jump through flaming hoops and write a formal, custom query letter. Personally, I find query letters ridiculous. That's why, at Nightingale, we’re doing things differently. We work with authors, not on projects.

If you want to submit your manuscript to Nightingale, follow these three simple steps. (If you mess them up, I’ll assume you’re a bot—or a very talented golden retriever. But unfortunately still not qualified to write a novel.)

  1. The Elevator Pitch: Give me the "hook." What is this book? Why does it matter? Keep it punchy, weird, and honest. If you can't explain it in the time it takes for an awkward elevator ride, we’re in trouble.

  2. The Goods: Attach your first three chapters.

  3. The Destination: Send both of the above to Submissions@nightingalepublishing.press.
